About Nostalgic Imagery

Nostalgic Imagery Photography is an on location and home portrait studio located in the little country town of North Street, just 6 miles Northwest of Port Huron.  Located in the beautiful Blue Water Area of St. Clair County, Michigan, Nostalgic Imagery serves the Port Huron area and surrounding Townships: Burtchville, Clyde, and Fort Gratiot, and also Northern Michigan’s Emmet County, which includes the The Tip-of-the-Mitt area of Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, as well as neighboring locations of Harbor Springs and Petoskey.  Owner and photographer, Julie Brown, is inspired to create precious memories that will tug at your heartstrings.

Julie grew up cherishing her grandmother’s black & white photography. “I have always loved photography since I was just a kid. I got my first little 110 camera when I was 14 years old, and have been taking pictures ever since!”

Julie is a member in good standing of DPPA Detroit Professional Photographers Association, and continues to study all aspects of photography through various seminars, webinars, books and networking with fellow photographers.   She also owns a home in Mackinaw City, Michigan with her husband, and is available year-round from this location.

The main goal of Nostalgic Imagery Photography is to “Preserve Your Timeless Memories – Today!” Nostalgic Imagery uses a photojournalistic approach to wedding photography, and strives to capture sweet memories that will last a lifetime.  Since digital photography is here to stay, each of us must do our part in preserving our family portraits for future generations.  And like our grandmother’s old scrapbook of memories, we can pass our heirlooms unto our children and grandchildren.

I strive to create art with my camera… always searching with my inner eye for that moment when it all comes together… both art and life. I hope you would consider me to preserve your timeless memories today.  - Julie
